It was October of 1979. I was living in a small apartment in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In a moment of quietness before God, the Holy Spirit spoke to me. He said, “You will minister the Word of God on television.”

I wrote it down on a little card, which I still have to this day.

At the time, it felt impossible—as far away as the moon. There was no network, no opportunity, and no plan. Just a word from God. And God showed me in those early years that He rewards faithfulness.

When we first stepped into television in 1985, it wasn’t on a major network. It was on a local public-access channel in a small city near Los Angeles. The set was homemade with cheap paneling and plastic flowers.

It was embarrassing—but it was a start.

For five years, I recorded programs and took tapes to fifteen different cities for them to be aired on other small public-access channels. And for five years, I never received a single card in the mail. Not one phone call. The only one watching was God.

But I stayed with what He had given me to do. Because Jesus taught the principle in Matthew 25:23,

“You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.”

Today, more than four decades later, I know that principle is true.

In 1992, the program began airing on FOX TV 11 in Los Angeles. In 1995, we stepped into Europe, and by the late 1990s, we were broadcasting across Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, India, Europe, and Africa.

Today, the program airs across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia & Oceania, in multiple languages.

And here is something God has shown me:

The television broadcast is a missionary.

It can enter the privacy of someone’s home. It can enter a hotel room. It can go into a prison, a hospital, a bar. It meets people at the point of their need.

We have seen tens of thousands of people come to Christ in different nations through the television ministry. But I honestly believe we won’t know the lion’s share of the impact until we get to heaven.

And there is one more thing God has shown me over these 41 years:

No one does this alone.

Romans 10:14–15 asks, “How shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?”

Your prayers and support have sent the message of a living Savior to millions in multiple languages throughout the nations of the world. And I am so humbled by that.

In 1979, this ministry was a word written on a small card. Today, it is a global broadcast reaching more than 130 countries.

What has God shown me?

That He is faithful… that small beginnings matter… and that when His people say “yes,” He can do far more than we imagine.

And we are not finished yet.
